Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking skilled Games Testers on a contract basis to contribute to their upcoming game projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from your home location within the UK . You will be integral to the quality assurance process, rigorously testing game builds to identify and document defects, and providing feedback that ensures a high-quality player experience. This role is ideal for experienced testers looking for project-based work and the flexibility of remote engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and protocols to identify software defects across various game features.
• Document bugs with detailed steps to reproduce, including relevant logs and system information.
• Verify bug fixes provided by the development team and conduct regression testing.
• Provide clear and concise feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
• Collaborate with remote team members and developers to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Adhere to project schedules and deliver high-quality testing results within the contract period.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Games Tester or in a similar QA role.
• Deep passion for playing video games and a strong understanding of game mechanics.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
• Proficiency in bug tracking software and test case management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project milestones.
