About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Games Tester to join their distributed quality assurance team. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute to the creation of high-quality video games from anywhere in the UK. You will be instrumental in the discovery and reporting of defects, ensuring that every game launched is polished and provides an exceptional player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing of game features, levels, and systems against established quality benchmarks.
- Log and track defects meticulously using specified bug-tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps.
- Evaluate game performance, stability, and compatibility across various hardware configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand game design and ensure testing aligns with project goals.
- Perform sanity checks and regression testing to confirm bug fixes and identify any unintended side effects.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and documentation.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in software testing or a profound understanding of game development cycles.
