Job Overview

We are currently recruiting experienced Domestic Gas Breakdown Engineers to join a well-established and growing gas maintenance contractor, covering the Southwark area.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled engineers looking for a strong basic salary, consistent workload and the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings through an uncapped Schedule of Rates (SOR) structure.

Work is organised within tightly managed postcode areas, helping to minimise travel time and maximise the number of jobs completed each day.

The Role

As a Domestic Gas Breakdown Engineer, you will be responsible for attending domestic properties to diagnose and repair boiler breakdowns, ensuring faults are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

Attending domestic boiler breakdowns across Southwark.

Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.

*

Achieving a consistently high first-time fix rate.

*

Completing work in line with agreed Schedule of Rates (SORs).

*

Working within designated postcode areas to reduce unnecessary travel.

*

Maintaining accurate job records and completing relevant paperwork.

*

Delivering excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.

*

Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations.

Essential Requirements

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in domestic boiler breakdowns and fault-finding.

*

Strong diagnostic and repair skills.

*

Proven ability to achieve a high first-time fix rate.

*

Social housing experience preferred.

*

Current ACS qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1.

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Clean DBS check.

*

Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
