South London Heating is an established, award-winning domestic heating company serving homeowners across South London.

We’re looking for an experienced Gas Service & Repair Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a dedicated service, breakdown, fault-finding and repair role for an engineer who genuinely enjoys diagnosing problems and getting heating systems working properly.

We are recruiting installation engineers separately, so this role is specifically for someone whose strengths lie in servicing, diagnostics and repairs.

You’ll work predominantly in private residential properties across South London, supported by an experienced office and technical team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Servicing domestic gas boilers and heating systems to a high standard

• Diagnosing boiler and central-heating faults accurately

• Carrying out effective repairs and resolving breakdowns

• Attending heating and hot-water call-outs

• Identifying required parts and follow-on works accurately

• Communicating clearly with customers and the office team

• Completing service records, certificates and job information using our digital systems

• Delivering a professional and respectful service in customers’ homes

What We’Re Looking For

You’ll need:

• Strong experience as a domestic Gas Service & Repair Engineer

• Excellent boiler fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience working across a range of domestic boilers and heating systems

• Current domestic ACS qualifications

• A full UK driving licence

• High standards of workmanship

• Good communication and customer-service skills

• A professional, reliable and positive approach

Experience with unvented hot-water systems and additional relevant qualifications would be an advantage.

What We Offer

• £46,000–£54,000 basic salary, depending on experience

• Performance-related bonus and additional earning opportunities

• Monday–Friday working, with no evenings or weekends as standard

• Company van

• Fuel and parking costs covered

• Paid annual leave plus bank holidays

• Birthday day off

• Company pension

• PPE and equipment provided

• Manufacturer and technical training

• Strong office and technical support

• Modern digital job-management systems

The Kind Of Engineer We Want

Technical ability is very important to us, but so is how you look after customers.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their technical knowledge and workmanship, enjoys fault-finding rather than simply replacing parts, and understands the importance of being professional and respectful in a customer’s home.

This would suit an experienced service and repair engineer looking for a stable, well-paid position with a strong local company where their technical expertise will genuinely be valued.
