Are you an experienced English Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work?

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a GCSE English Tutor to support a learner in Wirral. The role will involve identifying areas for development and delivering focused tuition designed around the learner's individual goals.

The Role

• Deliver individual GCSE English tuition
• Support reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Prepare lessons tailored to current attainment
• Identify gaps in knowledge and target key areas
• Assist with GCSE preparation where appropriate
• Develop confidence and engagement with the subject
• Record and communicate learner progress

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE English
• Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum
• Previous 1:1 tuition experience advantageous
• Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons
• Positive and encouraging teaching style
• QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
