General Manager Designate

We currently have a great opportunity for a General Manager Designate to join us in either our Wandsworth or Crawley cinemas, working alongside one of our experienced General Managers to receive full training in cinema operations to set you up for success. As a Designate, you will have gained strong General manager experience in a retail, hospitality or other customer focused industry and have a passion for translating this to a cinema environment to delight our customers. You will occasionally support other cinemas in the region and after the initial training period (expected 6 months) you will be able to take sole responsibility for a cinema. Due to this, flexibility with travel or relocation is essential.

What is the job?

Cineworld brings delight to thousands of customers every day by sharing joy through extraordinary experiences. Behind every successful cinema is a team that keeps everything running smoothly, and at the heart of that team is the General Manager. Responsible for every aspect of the operation, our General Managers lead, develop and inspire their teams, creating an environment where teams can thrive and customers leave with memories worth sharing.

We want our cinemas to be an immersive experience of joy & happiness. The key to this being a success, is having a formidable team of passionate people to run the cinemas and an inspiring leader driving them to deliver unforgettable experiences to our customers.

This is a full-time position, working 39 hours across 5 days. Evenings and weekends are the peak trading times, so broad availability is essential. You wouldn’t be required to work every evening/weekend but would be expected to lead by example and best understand how the business is performing.
