Aspire People are recruiting a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher for a secondary school in Cardiff, starting in January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher looking to take on a new role in the new year. The position is suitable for both Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and experienced practitioners who can deliver engaging Geography lessons and inspire pupils across the secondary age range.

The Role

• Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Prepare and assess pupils' work, monitoring their progress
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage pupils to develop their geographical knowledge and understanding
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• A specialism or strong subject knowledge in Geography
• The ability to deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom behaviour
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
• A commitment to supporting pupils' progress and achievement

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration in Wales, or willingness to register
• Two professional references covering the last two years
