About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Geologist specializing in exploration to join their dynamic team based in Birmingham . You will spend a significant amount of time in the field, conducting surveys and collecting vital geological data, supported by office-based analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and sampling in potential exploration areas.
• Analyze rock and soil samples using various geochemical and geophysical techniques.
• Operate and maintain specialized geological survey equipment, including GPS devices and spectrometers.
• Interpret geological data to define target zones for mineral exploration and drilling programs.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, maps, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess the economic viability of identified mineral prospects.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in mineral exploration geology.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geological modeling software.
• Experience with various exploration techniques, including geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, and drilling supervision.
• Strong understanding of ore deposit geology and mineral identification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
