About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Geophysical Data Analyst to join their dedicated exploration team based in Sunderland . This role is critical for interpreting complex geophysical datasets to identify potential mineral and energy resources. You will work closely with geologists and exploration managers, providing essential insights derived from seismic, magnetic, and gravity data. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proficient with advanced processing software, and possesses a keen eye for detail in a hands-on, office-based environment. You will be a key contributor to the company's resource discovery efforts, directly impacting strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, interpret, and model various types of geophysical data (seismic, magnetic, gravity, electrical).
• Integrate geophysical data with geological and other datasets to create comprehensive subsurface models.
• Utilize specialized software for data analysis, visualization, and inversion.
• Identify and delineate potential exploration targets based on geophysical signatures.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on geophysical interpretations.
• Collaborate with exploration teams to optimize survey design and data acquisition strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics, Physics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in geophysical data processing and interpretation, preferably in the mining or energy sector.
• Proficiency with geophysical software packages (e.g., Petrel, HampsonRussell, Oasis Montaj).
• Strong understanding of geophysical principles and techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical findings clearly.
