Geophysical Data Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Geophysical Data Analyst to join their exploration team, operating remotely and based within commutable distance to Belfast . This role is integral to the discovery and evaluation of subsurface hydrocarbon resources. You will be responsible for processing, interpreting, and integrating large volumes of seismic and other geophysical data to identify potential exploration targets. Key Responsibilities

• Process and quality control of seismic, gravity, and magnetic survey data.
• Interpret seismic data to identify geological structures, stratigraphic traps, and potential hydrocarbon accumulations.
• Integrate geophysical data with well logs, core data, and other geological information.
• Utilize advanced software tools for data visualization, interpretation, and attribute analysis.
• Generate maps, cross-sections, and reports detailing exploration prospectivity.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists in a virtual team setting.

Requirements

• Degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related earth science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geophysical data interpretation , preferably in the Oil & Gas sector .
• Proficiency with seismic interpretation software (e.g., Kingdom Suite, Petrel).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles.
• Experience with data management and quality assurance protocols.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote capacity.
