Geophysical Data Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Geophysical Data Analyst to join their team in Belfast . This role is crucial for interpreting complex seismic and geophysical data to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs and support exploration and production activities in the oil and gas industry . You will work within a multidisciplinary team, integrating geophysical data with geological and engineering information to build a comprehensive understanding of subsurface structures. Key Responsibilities

• Process, interpret, and integrate various geophysical datasets, including seismic, gravity, and magnetic data.
• Perform data quality control and assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of interpretations.
• Develop and refine subsurface models, identifying potential hydrocarbon traps and reservoir characteristics.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to contribute to exploration and field development strategies.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations of geophysical findings.

Requirements

• Degree in Geophysics, Earth Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geophysical data analysis, preferably within the oil and gas sector .
• Proficiency with geophysical interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, HampsonRussell).
• Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
