About the Role
Our client is actively searching for a skilled Geophysicist to join their exploration and production team, with the possibility of operating remotely to support projects impacting operations near Sunderland . This role is essential for interpreting seismic data, identifying potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, and contributing to exploration strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Process, interpret, and integrate 2D and 3D seismic data to identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon prospects.
- Develop geological models and seismic attribute analysis to define reservoir characteristics.
- Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to build integrated subsurface models.
- Prepare geophysical reports and present findings to technical teams and management.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geophysical techniques and software.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in geophysical interpretation , particularly in an oil and gas exploration context.
- Proficiency with seismic interpretation software (e.g., Kingdom, Petrel, HampsonRussell).
- Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting .
