Our client is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team in Birmingham . You will be responsible for conducting thorough site investigations and providing expert advice to project teams, mitigating risks associated with subsurface conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, trial pits, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock mechanics data to design appropriate foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for construction.
• Provide on-site technical support and supervision during critical groundworks phases.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and contractors to integrate geotechnical solutions into project designs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant geotechnical standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in geotechnical investigation and design, particularly for building foundations and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS or GeoStudio.
• Understanding of ground improvement techniques and slope stability analysis.
• Strong report writing skills and ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Valid UK driver's license and willingness to travel to sites as required.
