About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and site characterization for mining projects.
• Design and implement ground support systems for underground mines and open-pit slopes.
• Perform stability analyses of excavations, tunnels, and waste rock piles.
• Monitor ground movement and structural performance using instrumentation and field measurements.
• Provide technical guidance on geotechnical aspects of mine design, construction, and closure.
• Review and interpret geological and geotechnical data for risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with specific experience in mining or tunneling projects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software for slope stability, seepage, and settlement analysis.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology principles.
• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
