Glazier / Multi-Trade Operative

We are seeking a skilled operative whose primary trade is Glazing, with the ability to carry out a range of additional maintenance and repair works across a social housing portfolio. You will be responsible for responsive repairs, property maintenance, and refurbishment works within both occupied and void residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out glazing repairs and replacements, including windows, doors, sealed units, and associated components

• Diagnosing faults and undertaking effective repairs

• Delivering responsive maintenance and refurbishment works

• Working within occupied and void social housing properties

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements

• Managing jobs via PDA systems (training provided)

Essential Skills & Experience

Core Trade:

• Glazing repair and replacement experience

Multi-Trade Skills:

• Carpentry

• Plumbing

• Patch plastering

• General building repairs

Requirements

• Experience working within social housing or residential maintenance environments

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Glazing or a relevant trade

• Full UK Driving Licence

• DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)

• Right to work in the UK
