About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Course Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of a prestigious golf facility in Aberdeen . This key role involves ensuring the course is maintained to the highest standards, managing a dedicated groundskeeping team, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of the club. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual maintenance plans for the golf course, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control strategies.
• Supervise, train, and manage a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor course conditions daily, making timely adjustments to ensure optimal playability and aesthetic appeal for Aberdeen golfers.
• Manage the departmental budget, including labor, equipment, supplies, and capital expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all groundskeeping equipment, ensuring it is in safe and operational condition.
• Collaborate with club management and other departments to support events and member activities, enhancing the overall golf experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in golf course management or a related field of turf management.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, agronomy, and integrated pest management practices.
• Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and interact with stakeholders.
• Relevant horticultural or golf management qualification is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern groundskeeping equipment and technology.
