About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join their specialized geotechnical team in Bradford . Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of site investigations, including trial pits and borehole logging.
- Undertake geotechnical laboratory testing and interpret the results.
- Perform foundation design calculations (e.g., pad foundations, piled foundations) under supervision.
- Prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Support senior engineers in developing ground improvement strategies and retaining wall designs.
- Ensure all site activities and design work adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- A recent degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus on geotechnical engineering.
- Basic understanding of soil mechanics principles and geotechnical investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant software such as AutoCAD and basic geotechnical analysis tools.
- Willingness to undertake site visits and fieldwork as required.
- Strong desire to learn and develop expertise in geotechnical engineering.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
