About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their specialist team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role will involve leading complex geotechnical investigations and providing expert advice on ground conditions and foundation design for a variety of projects. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. The hybrid nature of this role allows for focused office-based work and flexibility for remote collaboration or site visits as required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, drilling, and testing programs.
Interpret ground investigation data and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and design recommendations.
Undertake detailed analysis and design of foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and other earth structures.
Provide expert geotechnical advice to clients, project managers, and design teams.
Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and industry best practices.
Mentor and supervise junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.

Requirements

Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Significant experience (8+ years) as a Geotechnical Engineer , with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
Proficiency in geotechnical software for analysis and modeling (e.g., Plaxis, Geo5).
Excellent understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and groundwater principles.
Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng CGeol) is highly desirable.
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
