About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their specialist team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role will involve leading complex geotechnical investigations and providing expert advice on ground conditions and foundation design for a variety of projects. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. The hybrid nature of this role allows for focused office-based work and flexibility for remote collaboration or site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, drilling, and testing programs.
- Interpret ground investigation data and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and design recommendations.
- Undertake detailed analysis and design of foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and other earth structures.
- Provide expert geotechnical advice to clients, project managers, and design teams.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and supervise junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (8+ years) as a Geotechnical Engineer , with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software for analysis and modeling (e.g., Plaxis, Geo5).
- Excellent understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and groundwater principles.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng CGeol) is highly desirable.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
