Graduate Civil Engineer - Water Resources

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join their specialized Water Resources team in Milton Keynes . This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual at the beginning of their career to gain hands-on experience in the critical field of water management and sustainable infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals on projects related to flood risk assessment, drainage design, and water quality management. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the hydraulic modelling and analysis of water systems and flood events.
• Contribute to the design of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and wastewater management solutions.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, assessments, and design documentation.
• Conduct data collection and analysis for water resource projects.
• Participate in site visits and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements in water engineering.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• A strong academic record with a keen interest in water resources and environmental engineering.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic principles and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with relevant software, such as AutoCAD or GIS, is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
