About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer to join their busy team based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across a range of civil engineering disciplines, including infrastructure, highways, and development projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced chartered engineers, contributing to project design, site supervision, and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of technical designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering schemes.
- Support senior engineers in conducting site surveys, inspections, and data analysis.
- Undertake calculations for drainage, road design, and other infrastructure elements.
- Help in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and tender submissions.
- Learn and apply relevant software tools for design and analysis, such as AutoCAD and modelling software.
- Gain exposure to site supervision and construction methodologies under expert guidance.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- A strong academic record and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering.
- Familiarity with basic civil engineering principles and practices.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and an eagerness to learn specialist software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to project goals in Tyne and Wear .
