About the Role
Our client is seeking bright and motivated Graduate Civil Engineers to join their infrastructure team in Sheffield . This role offers an exciting pathway to contribute to significant civil engineering projects, from initial design through to construction and completion. You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as structural design, transportation, and environmental engineering, working within a supportive team environment. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to developing their professional capabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications using relevant engineering software.
- Support site investigations and surveys, contributing to project planning.
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to risk assessments.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD , Civil 3D) and structural analysis tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working in a hybrid team.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally in the Sheffield area.
