Graduate Junior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Junior Accountant to join their fully remote finance team. This is an ideal position for a recent graduate looking to build a strong career in accounting and finance. You will gain practical experience in various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliation, all within a supportive virtual environment. Based remotely but serving clients across various regions including Belfast , you will contribute to the financial health of the organization, working with sophisticated accounting software and collaborating with a professional, dispersed team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors as needed.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a remote work environment.
