About the Role
Our client is looking for ambitious Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join their innovative team in Derby . This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment, contributing to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems. You will be mentored by experienced engineers, gaining valuable experience in areas such as CAD, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
- Perform calculations and simulations for stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics.
- Contribute to the prototyping and testing of new designs, documenting results.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
- Support the resolution of technical issues during the product lifecycle.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to the engineering team.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
- Understanding of core mechanical engineering principles and materials science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- A desire to learn and contribute within a professional engineering setting.
