About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Graduate Project Engineer to join their project management team, offering a hybrid work model from their Wolverhampton base. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain broad exposure to engineering project lifecycles, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure. You will support project managers in coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, a keen interest in project delivery, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment that blends office-based and remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and executing engineering projects.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
- Help manage project documentation, including reports, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Support in the preparation of project status updates and presentations.
- Contribute to post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating collaboration in the Wolverhampton office and with remote team members.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) is a plus.
- Proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail.
