About the Role

Our client is looking for an eager Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding construction team in Plymouth . This role is ideal for recent graduates aiming to build a successful career in construction cost management. You will gain hands-on experience in contract administration, cost estimation, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, you will contribute to the successful financial delivery of significant construction projects in the Plymouth area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, tenders, and bills of quantities.
• Support contract administration and manage variations and claims.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost issues.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to manage commercial aspects.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of construction contracts, measurement, and cost management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
