Graduate Regulatory & Technical Compliance Engineer

Milton Keynes | £30,000 - £37,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your engineering career with a successful global business that invests in its people?

We're recruiting for a Regulatory & Technical Compliance Engineer to join the technical team of a well-established international engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise within a supportive organisation that offers structured training, genuine career progression and the chance to build a long-term career in an increasingly important area of engineering.

Whether you're a recent engineering graduate or have gained some early experience within a technical or regulatory environment, you'll receive the support and development needed to become a specialist in engineering compliance.

The Role

This is a specialist, office-based engineering role focused on ensuring engineering products meet relevant regulatory requirements before they're released to market.

Working as part of a collaborative technical team, you'll research engineering standards and legislation, interpret technical information and produce accurate technical documentation to support product compliance.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys analysing technical information, researching legislation and working with exceptional attention to detail. Whilst you'll work closely with engineers, this is not a hands-on design, manufacturing or quality engineering position. Instead, you'll develop specialist expertise in technical documentation, engineering standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and interpret engineering legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation.

• Support product compliance activities for engineering products.

• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete and compliant.

• Work closely with engineering colleagues to support new and existing products.

• Assist with technical reports and regulatory documentation.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical, Environmental or a related Engineering discipline.

We will also consider candidates who hold a degree in another discipline where interpreting legislation, regulations and technical documentation forms a significant part of the qualification, such as Law, provided you can demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and a desire to build a career within a technical engineering environment.

You'll also bring

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical information accurately.

• Excellent written communication and reporting skills, with a high standard of accuracy.

• The confidence to research and interpret technical standards, legislation and regulatory requirements.

• A genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering and how products are brought to market safely and compliantly.

• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across technical and engineering teams.

• A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn and the motivation to build a long-term career within a global engineering organisation.

Any exposure to technical compliance, regulatory documentation, engineering standards, product certification or quality management systems through industry experience, university projects or placements would be advantageous, but is not essential. Full training will be provided.

What's on Offer

• £30,000 - £37,000 depending on experience.

• Pension scheme.

• Private medical insurance.

• 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.

• Subsidised restaurant.

• Structured training and ongoing professional development.

• Excellent long-term career progression within a successful global engineering business.

If you're looking to build a rewarding engineering career where your analytical skills, attention to detail and technical curiosity will be valued, we'd love to hear from you.
