About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join their remote team, supporting initiatives within the Stoke-on-Trent area. This critical role involves researching funding opportunities, crafting persuasive grant proposals, and managing the grant application process to secure vital financial resources for our charitable work. You will play a key part in ensuring the sustainability and expansion of our programs by effectively communicating our impact and needs to potential funders. Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports that align with funder requirements and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
- Manage the grant submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met and applications are complete and accurate.
- Maintain a grants calendar and track the status of all submitted proposals and awarded grants.
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and key contacts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful grant applications.
- Exceptional research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Thorough understanding of the grant funding landscape and application processes.
- Ability to translate complex program information into persuasive narrative for funders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with grant management software is a plus.
