About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and persuasive Grant Writer to secure vital funding for their programmes in Portsmouth . This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with essential office-based collaboration, allowing you to craft compelling funding proposals while working closely with programme teams. You will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, developing persuasive proposals, and managing relationships with grant-making organisations, playing a crucial role in the financial sustainability of the charity.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and the charity's strategic objectives.
- Develop and manage a grants calendar, tracking deadlines for submissions and reporting.
- Collaborate with programme staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
- Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with all grant conditions and reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with foundation programme officers and key contacts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Excellent research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills.
- Strong understanding of the grant application process and funder landscapes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines in a hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management databases.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Liberal Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
