Our client is seeking an experienced Grid Integration Specialist to join their advanced projects team in Brighton . This critical role will focus on ensuring the seamless and stable integration of renewable energy sources and energy storage systems into the existing electricity grid. You will be involved in developing technical solutions, advising on grid code compliance, and collaborating with network operators and project developers. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse grid connection requirements and develop strategies for integrating new energy assets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and regional grid codes and standards.
• Perform dynamic and steady-state grid studies to assess the impact of new connections.
• Collaborate with network operators, regulators, and project teams to facilitate smooth grid connections.
• Develop technical specifications for grid interconnection equipment and control systems.
• Provide expert advice on grid stability, power quality, and system security issues.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with a focus on power systems.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in grid integration , power system planning, or grid connection studies.
• In-depth knowledge of grid codes, protection systems, and power system dynamics.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, DigSILENT).
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and energy storage systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
