About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for grid modernization, focusing on smart grid technologies.
• Analyze grid performance data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and capacity.
• Design and specify new grid infrastructure, including advanced metering, communication systems, and control technologies.
• Evaluate and integrate distributed energy resources (DERs) and renewable energy sources into the grid.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and technology providers on modernization projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for grid operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on grid modernization or smart grid technologies.
• Strong understanding of power flow, grid stability, protection systems, and SCADA.
• Experience with distributed energy resources (DERs), microgrids, and renewable energy integration.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and cybersecurity aspects of smart grids.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
