Job Title: Grinder Location: Ferndown, Dorset Salary: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour (DOE) Hours: Monday to Thursday, Day Shift (39 hours/week) 7am to 5.15pm Job Type: Permanent Company Overview: Working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company based in Ferndown. Known for their high standards and clean, well-equipped workshop, they supply components to industries where accuracy and quality are paramount. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role working with high-spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision components
• Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience in cylindrical grinding within a precision engineering environment
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
