Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join their operational team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for maintaining the fleet of vehicles and equipment used on the airport ramp, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and operational for aircraft ground handling. You will be involved in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a wide range of GSE. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, and de-icing units.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with GSE and execute effective repair solutions.
• Ensure all GSE is maintained in safe working order and complies with operational and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs for all maintenance activities performed on GSE.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to ground operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, ideally with exposure to heavy machinery or fleet maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
