Group Accoutant

NXTGEN is working with a world-renowned international group to recruit a Group Accountant into its divisional Head Office finance team.

This opportunity offers exposure across multiple businesses and international markets, combining ownership of divisional consolidation and reporting with a broad Head Office accounting remit. For a qualified accountant looking to deepen their technical expertise and build relationships across a wider group, there is plenty to get involved in.

You will work with a variety of key stakeholders such as local finance teams, FP&A and Group specialists in reporting, tax and treasury. You’ll be a key contact for accounting queries, helping businesses resolve issues and ensuring their results come together accurately and on time.

Alongside the reporting cycle, you’ll contribute to improvements in finance systems, processes and controls, giving you the opportunity to influence how the team works.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading divisional consolidation and submission of monthly results, forecasts, budgets and year-end disclosures.

• Ensuring reporting complies with IFRS and Group accounting policies.

• Providing technical accounting support to finance teams across the division.

• Taking ownership of Head Office month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial controls.

• Preparing statutory accounts and coordinating information for external auditors.

• Delivering cash flow forecasts and supporting Head Office treasury, tax compliance and finance operations.

• Improving reporting tools, systems and processes alongside finance colleagues.

For this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience of group accounts and consolidation. An international, multi-currency background would be particularly relevant.

If you enjoy taking ownership, investigating discrepancies and working with colleagues to solve problems and you want to broaden your experience within an international group and take on a role with visibility across finance, this could be the role for you!
