Gym Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Gym Operations Supervisor to assist in the management of a busy fitness facility in Stoke-on-Trent . You will support the General Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the gym, overseeing staff, maintaining facility standards, and enhancing the member experience. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong passion for fitness and a developing track record in operational leadership within the health and fitness sector, contributing to a positive and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise gym floor activities, ensuring a safe and positive environment for members.
• Manage and motivate a team of fitness instructors and gym staff, including scheduling and performance.
• Conduct regular facility checks, ensuring equipment is operational and the environment is clean.
• Assist with implementing membership sales initiatives and retention strategies.
• Handle member enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Support the General Manager with operational reporting and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a gym or leisure environment.
• Strong understanding of gym operations, including health and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
• Fitness industry qualifications are a plus.
