Hairdressing Tutor - Alternative Provision

Location: Northumberland

Working Pattern: Thursday & Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm (2 days per week)

Pay: £100-£170 per day (depending on qualifications QTS required for top end pay bracket)

The Role

• Deliver practical and engaging hairdressing sessions.
• Support learners within an alternative provision setting.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, encouraging confidence and personal development.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a recognised teaching or education-based qualification (essential).
• Has experience in hairdressing and is confident delivering practical sessions.
• Is an excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills.
• Has experience working with young people, ideally within education or alternative provision.
• Is patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping learners succeed.
