Hairdressing Tutor – Alternative Provision in Northumberland
Working Pattern: Thursday & Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm (2 days per week)
Pay: £100–£170 per day (depending on qualifications QTS required for top end pay bracket)
Competitive daily rate of £100–£170, depending on qualifications.
We are recruiting for a passionate and engaging Hairdressing Tutor to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a real difference to the lives of young people by helping them develop practical skills, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
Working with students who thrive in a more personalised learning environment, you will deliver engaging hairdressing sessions while building strong, positive relationships that encourage participation and achievement.
The Role
- Deliver practical and engaging hairdressing sessions.
- Support learners within an alternative provision setting.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, encouraging confidence and personal development.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a recognised teaching or education-based qualification (essential).
- Has experience in hairdressing and is confident delivering practical sessions.
- Is an excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills.
- Has experience working with young people, ideally within education or alternative provision.
- Is patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping learners succeed.
