Harvest Manager – Soft Fruit

Location: South East England Salary: Competitive – Depending on Experience (DOE) Accommodation: Available Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take responsibility for harvest operations, ensuring productivity, fruit quality, labour efficiency and the successful delivery of harvest targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily soft fruit harvesting operations.

*

Plan and coordinate harvest schedules and resources.

*

Lead and supervise harvest teams and supervisors.

*

Monitor picking productivity, efficiency and fruit quality.

*

Ensure harvest targets and production deadlines are achieved.

*

Manage labour allocation and workforce performance.

*

Maintain high standards of quality, food safety and compliance.

*

Monitor harvest KPIs and prepare performance reports.

*

Work closely with growing, production and operational teams.

*

Identify opportunities to improve harvest efficiency and reduce waste.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Previous harvest management experience within commercial horticulture.

*

Soft fruit harvesting experience highly desirable.

*

Strong leadership and workforce management skills.

*

Experience managing large seasonal teams.

*

Good understanding of harvest planning and productivity.

*

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

*

Minimum NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification relevant to the role.

Legal right to work in the UK or valid visa permitting employment.
