About the Role
Our client is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the culinary operations for a prestigious boutique hotel in Leicester . You will be responsible for creating innovative menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation across all dining outlets. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience and establishing the hotel's reputation for outstanding cuisine, working within a dynamic and creative environment that values culinary excellence and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative, seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and appeal to a discerning clientele.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory, procurement, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the hotel management and F&B team to plan special events, banquets, and private dining experiences.
- Maintain exceptional quality and consistency in all dishes served, from daily à la carte to large-scale events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality hotel or restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated creativity and passion for food, with a strong understanding of various culinary techniques and international cuisines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen management best practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards during peak service times.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
