About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Head Coach to lead their high-performance sports program in Edinburgh . This pivotal role involves developing and implementing elite training strategies, nurturing athlete talent, and fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship. You will oversee all aspects of coaching, athlete development, and team management, working closely with support staff to maximize individual and team potential. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of sports science, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in developing athletes to their peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific needs of performance athletes.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of assistant coaches and support staff.
• Conduct athlete assessments and track progress, providing constructive feedback and adjustments to training plans.
• Manage team logistics, including travel, competition schedules, and equipment.
• Promote a positive and disciplined team culture focused on continuous improvement and ethical conduct.
• Liaise with sports science, medical, and performance analysis departments to optimize athlete welfare and performance.

Requirements

• Extensive coaching experience at an elite or high-performance level.
• Relevant coaching certifications and qualifications specific to the sport.
• Demonstrated success in developing athletes and achieving competitive results.
• Strong understanding of sports physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
