About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and strategic Regional Sports Director to oversee and enhance sports programs across multiple facilities in the Glasgow area. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and implementation of all sports initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery and participation growth. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for sports development, community engagement, and operational excellence. You will work closely with facility managers, coaches, and local sports governing bodies to promote a culture of athletic achievement and participation, driving the overall success of sports activities in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for sports programs across the region, aligning with organizational goals.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of sports coaches and staff.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality sports training, events, and recreational activities for diverse age groups.
• Manage sports budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
• Foster partnerships with local schools, clubs, and community organizations to expand sports participation.
• Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance participant experience.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in sports management, program development, or a related leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple sports programs and diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of sports development principles, coaching methodologies, and athlete welfare.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience in budget management and financial planning for sports organizations.
• A relevant degree in Sports Science, Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
