Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Football Coach to lead their esteemed sports program in Newcastle upon Tyne . This leadership role involves developing and implementing training programs, fostering team spirit, and guiding athletes to achieve their full potential both on and off the field. You will be responsible for all aspects of team management, recruitment, and strategic planning, working closely with athletic directors and support staff to uphold the program's values and competitive standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive training strategies, practice plans, and game-day tactics.
- Recruit and retain talented student-athletes who align with the program's academic and athletic standards.
- Manage all aspects of team operations, including scheduling, equipment, and budget.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, fostering their personal and athletic development.
- Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and academic advisors to ensure holistic athlete support.
- Uphold the integrity and reputation of the program, adhering to all league and institutional rules.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a head coach or assistant coach at the collegiate or high-level amateur level.
- Strong understanding of football strategies, player development, and coaching methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting and talent identification.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
