About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Football Coach to join their esteemed sports academy based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in developing young talent and implementing advanced training methodologies. You will be responsible for coaching athletes, developing training plans, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of the academy's football program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tactical play, player development, and possess excellent motivational skills to inspire athletes to reach their full potential, working in a hybrid model that blends on-field coaching with strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality football training sessions focused on technical, tactical, and physical development.
• Scout and recruit promising young players to enhance the academy's talent pool.
• Monitor player performance, provide constructive feedback, and create personalized development plans.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff and support personnel to ensure a holistic approach to athlete development.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive team environment.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in football coaching and sports science.

Requirements

• Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., UEFA A Licence or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in coaching football at an academy or professional level.
• In-depth knowledge of football tactics, training methodologies, and player conditioning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in player assessment and talent identification.
• Ability to manage both on-field duties and off-field strategic planning effectively.
