About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and charismatic Head Golf Professional to lead operations at their prestigious golf club in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the golf operation, including retail, lessons, club fitting, and member services. This key role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a deep understanding of the golf industry. You will play a vital role in enhancing the member and guest experience, driving revenue, and maintaining the club's reputation for excellence in a vibrant sporting community.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf operations, including tee-time management, tournament coordination, and shop inventory.
• Develop and deliver high-quality golf instruction and coaching programs for players of all skill levels.
• Manage and mentor a team of golf assistants and retail staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase golf participation and revenue streams.
• Maintain strong relationships with members, guests, and external golf organisations.

Requirements

• PGA Qualified or equivalent professional golf qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Head Golf Professional or senior pro role.
• Demonstrated expertise in golf instruction, club fitting, and retail management.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
