About the Role

Our client, a well-regarded golf club in Newcastle upon Tyne , is searching for an enthusiastic and skilled Head Golf Professional to lead their golf operations. This role is central to delivering an outstanding experience for members and guests, encompassing professional shop management, lesson programs, event coordination, and overseeing club fitting services. You will be the face of the club's golf offering, fostering a welcoming environment and driving engagement through excellent customer service and expert knowledge. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales.
• Develop and deliver a comprehensive golf lesson and coaching program for players of all skill levels.
• Organize and execute club tournaments, social events, and corporate golf days.
• Provide expert advice and services for club fitting , repairs, and equipment sales.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, building strong relationships with members and visitors.
• Oversee the scheduling and performance of assistant golf professionals and shop staff.

Requirements

• Full PGA Professional qualification is essential.
• Significant experience in a golf professional role, with a proven track record in retail and coaching.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using golf retail POS systems and club management software .
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and responsibilities simultaneously.
• A passion for growing the game of golf and enhancing the member experience.
