About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department at a distinguished hotel in Oxford . This vital role involves overseeing all aspects of room and public area cleanliness, ensuring impeccable standards are maintained throughout the property. You will manage a team of housekeeping staff, coordinate cleaning schedules, manage linen and supply inventories, and uphold the hotel's commitment to hygiene and guest comfort. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong leadership skills, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff, providing leadership and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory of linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and controlling costs.
- Implement and enforce strict hygiene, health, and safety protocols within the department.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are met and promptly address any deficiencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Head Housekeeper or Assistant Head Housekeeper role within the hotel industry.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining immaculate environments.
- Ability to effectively train and motivate a team.
