About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Science department, setting clear strategic goals and operational plans.
• Oversee the design and delivery of an engaging and comprehensive science curriculum across all key stages.
• Manage and inspire a team of science teachers, providing professional development, performance management, and support.
• Ensure high standards of teaching and learning within the department, promoting innovative pedagogical approaches.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant science degree.
• Substantial experience teaching science at secondary level, with a proven track record of academic success.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership or management within an educational setting.
• A deep understanding of curriculum development and assessment in science.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
