About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science department, including staff performance, professional development, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement an innovative and engaging Science curriculum that meets national standards and inspires student curiosity.
• Oversee the teaching and learning within the department, ensuring high-quality instruction and student achievement in all scientific disciplines.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in a Science discipline.
• Significant experience as a teacher of Science , with a proven track record of successful leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of educators.
• Expertise in curriculum development and assessment strategies for Science.
• Strong understanding of current educational trends and policies impacting science education.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
