Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science department, including curriculum development, assessment strategies, and staff performance.
• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in science subjects across all relevant key stages.
• Develop and implement innovative schemes of work and resources to enhance student engagement and achievement in science.
• Monitor departmental performance, analyze data, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for science teaching staff.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in a relevant science subject.
• Proven experience in teaching science at secondary level, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis in science education.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
