Head of Finance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and strategic Head of Finance to lead their financial operations from their Bristol office. This executive leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial health, including financial planning, reporting, risk management, and strategic financial decision-making. You will oversee the finance team, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide critical insights to support business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance professional with exceptional analytical skills and a proven ability to guide financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, and tax.
• Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
• Lead the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and investors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, such as Head of Finance, CFO, or Finance Director.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
• Proven ability to manage financial risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent is essential.
