About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to lead the department at a dynamic secondary school in Norwich . This leadership role is dedicated to promoting language learning and cultural understanding among students. You will be responsible for developing an engaging MFL curriculum, inspiring language teachers, and ensuring high standards of teaching and achievement in subjects such as French, Spanish, and German. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MFL department, promoting excellence in language teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement an inspiring and effective MFL curriculum across key stages.

• Oversee the assessment of student progress in foreign languages.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in a relevant Modern Foreign Language (e.g., French, Spanish, German).
• Significant experience teaching MFL at secondary level, with leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of MFL curriculum requirements and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
